BACKGROUND & EDUCATION

Jenna Aquilina holds a BA in Psychology & Women's Studies from Wayne State University (1998) and a Master of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (2004). She is Nationally Board Certified by the NCBAHM (NCCAOM) and is also a licensed acupuncturist (UT).

Jenna’s work with holistic and subtle forms of healing began when she was young. She was naturally drawn to study medicine and many different forms of healing from a very young age, and wanted to find her own answers for health challenges and questions in her teens. This led her on a path towards healing and wisdom traditions from different parts of the world.

In August 2010, Jenna traveled to Peru and spent a month immersed one-on-one with Q’ero Paqos and teachings in the area around Cuzco, the Sacred Valley and Q’olloriti. She’s continued her studies with Q’ero elder Don Mariano Quispe Flores. Since then, the way Jenna works has been continuously evolving through experiences and travel to sacred places in the USA, Mexico and Brazil, so far.

Jyotisha Vidya (Vedic Astrology) has been a long-time interest and in 2022 Jenna began deepening in her studies through a lunar nakshatra-based system that views the life through cycles of time called dashas. Jenna is very interested in Medical Jyotish and how imprints and karma from past lives impact and shape our current incarnation and experiences. Many Thanks go to Eve Mendoza for sharing her knowledge of Jyotish and ancient Vidya through her teachers and studies.

Jenna has been deeply nourished by learning and working with multidimensional traditions of wisdom and healing, including Western & Chinese herbal medicine, multiple traditions of Acupuncture & East Asian Medicine, Tai Ji & Qi Gong, Yoga, Reiki, Massage, essential oils and gemstones, CranioSacral therapy, sound & vibration, Maya Abdominal Therapy & Maya Spiritual Healing through Rosita Arvigo from don Elijio Panti and Miss Hortence Robinson. Energy Medicine Certification from Healing the Light Body School ~ Four Winds Society (2009). She’s also studied with Rainbow Jaguar Institute, the Heart of the Healer and a diverse variety of teachers and healers (Paqos) from the Andean traditions and Quechua peoples. Ongoing continuing education and experiences are part of her love of lifelong learning.

We give thanks to all of our teachers for all they have shared and continue to share with us.
